Hi Guyz,
First of all sorry for posting so late.Actually I have been a lot busy these days.
Let's get to the story. This story is about the strange happenings during these nights in one of my friends area. His name is A**ay.
So Abhay is going to shift in a new house. But due to all the rituals in a house before shifting in a new house,he had to sleep in his old house. So Abhay, his Brother and Sister used to sleep at 12 in the night for 4 nights. The first two nights were quite peaceful,or,the most peaceful. The story below is narrated by my friend Abhay.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay so here we go...
Night 3...
The second last night before I was going to shift in my new home. I wanted to grasp each and every memory of my old neighbourhood before I leave, so I insisted my parents to let me sleep in the old house. So again in the third night I, my cousin brother and sister were alone in the house, preparing for a sleep. My dog was also in the house, but his presence is rarely felt as he is very quiet.
I was putting my downloads in schedule when I realized that my dog Lucky had sneaked out of the house.
I got up of my chair and ran into the streets with a loud shout inviting my cousin to join me. It was no fun running on the streets like mad chasing a dog, but I had to do this.
"Where did he go?", asked my cousin.
"Take a right from that street"
For about 5 minutes, we struggled to catch him which finally resulted in success. I took hold of him and carried him on my shoulder. Suddenly we heard some cries that broke out the eerie silence of the streets. They were coming from the main street.
"What was that?", I asked.
"I have no idea", said my puzzled cousin.
"Should we check it out?"
"Nice Idea"
We went towards the main street to find that there was a small accident which occured between two motorbikes, but to our shock, a large crowd of about 50 people had gathered there.
"How can 50 people assemble for a small accident at midnight?",I asked, more to myself.
"Sounds fishy", my cousin replied.
"Sounds Scary", was my reply.
While we were just grasping the scene we noticed that each and every person in the crowd wore the same white Kurta-Pyjama. Now that was scary. My dog was not reacting, maybe he was scared...too.
While we were about to leave, we saw a woman running with a child, while she was being chased by a man. The man was saying abusive words to her, yet the woman was smiling.
"It's all too scary, let's get outta here", my cousin signalled me.
"Good Idea", I said.
We ran on our way to home and promised not to tell about it to anyone, not even our sister.
That was enough for that night, I think, and we all dozed off soon.
Night 4
The last day...or rather night before I shift. This time only me and my sister were in the house, since my cousin made an excuse that he had some important work to do. I never argued since I knew he was scared.
This was a really hard night, since as soon as I came to the main street, I saw a bunch of people enjoying and dancing their way to someplace. That was a "BAARAAT" (A pack of people that enjoy going to their relative's marriage).
But a baarat at midnight? Who is getting married at midnight? But I ignored it. I just asked my sister about it whether she smelled something suspicious and she said...
"Did you noticed that there was no Bride Groom in that Baaraat?"
That sentence horrified me more than anything, since the last night was already a hard one for me.
It might sound simple but when you are travelling alone with a relative covered with nothing but eerie silence, anything can scare you.
"What's that?" My sister screamed suddenly...
"What? Where?" I asked curiously.
"On that rooftop."
What I saw was a figure, resembling a man wearing some kind of coat, just like that of Dracula with pointed ends. What was the most scary was that it was pair of glaring red eyes staring at us, which suddenly DISAPPEARED.
My sister was really scared and so was I. What to do now? We ran home and was welcomed by our dog. I turned on my PC and played some music just to calm down.
All of a sudden my dog started barking like mad. According to superstitions, a dog's bark is considered as a sign of something very, very inauspicious or even death.
We were so scared that even sweat was not able to come out. I tried to calm down my dog but couldn't.
My sister screamed, again.
"What happened now?"
"Somebody was staring us through the window!"
"What?"
"He had red eyes, and looked similar to that figure on the rooftop"
"WHAT" (It was a scream, not a question)
Okay, so what to do now? It could have been my last day on this planet, and I knew nothing what to do. Suddenly an idea clicked my mind.
"Let's just get some Godly stuff", I proposed my sister.
"Okay"
We went to a cupboard, and just got some Idols of Lord Ram and Shiva, we were also lucky to find a tabeez. I spread all that stuff around our bed and slept. I also took my dog on the bed since he was also scared, apparently.
Nothing happened to us and we are living happily now. But still, curiosity is something that has ruined a lot of humans.
3 MONTHS LATER...
I went back to the neighborhood, to meet an old friend of mine. His father welcomed me, and asked me about my new home and all. I, by mistake told him about the events that occured to me 3 months before.
He then said...
"My grandfather told me this story about this colony's secret. I don't know whether it is a story or for real, but he said that years ago, there lived a man, who was very lonely. He lived alone and had no friends in the colony.
One day he was found dead on the street. His body had turned completely pale and skin had turned of the purple colour. Some said that he was bitten by a bat or something, while some said he committed suicide. Some even said that he became the prey of a vampire. But they never knew the truth. Since they were very old times, the process of post-Morten was not introduced. But after that, many people saw him passing by through the colony streets"
"What? What did they do then?"
He signalled me to have some tea, but I wanted to stick to the story. Just as a formality, I sipped some tea and asked him to continue.
"Then there were pujas, hawans, etc conducted in the colony. And he was never seen again. But after years, my grandfather saw him in april when he was studying late night till about 12."
"Even I saw him in the month of april, and at 12 O clock!!!",I said fascinated.
"My grandfather concluded that though we got rid off him, he still visited the colony in the month of april in the midnight."
So I came to know what dark secrets my colony held between it's jolly streets. But what were those other events like the accident, the man chasing the woman and the baarat?
Well, those still remain a mystery to me, and I hope I can uncover them someday in my life. Look around you, there are thousands of mysteries waiting to be uncovered.
