Ranthambore...Where man meets nature

recently went on a trip to Ranthambore,a place located in the state of Rajasthan situated in India. It is known by almost all Indians that Ranthambore is a wildlife Sanctuary and a lot of tourist traffic is attracted here.It is situated from a distance of about 15 kms. from Sawoi Madhopur. On your way from Sawoi Madopur to Ranthambore, you will notice a lot of adventure tours and resorts named with Tiger like "The Tiger Resort" or the "Tiger View Tours".Then there will be a huge entrance in the spot. There are two things you can do now...

First is to go to it's wildlife sanctuary for a wild adventure and have fun seeing wild animals. You can do it by Booking an Adventure tour. There are roofless buses and jeeps that will carry you and your luggage in the wild.

Second Option is to climb the Ranthambore fort,up to the top with more than 250 BIG stairs.I personally do not recommend old people to choose this option since even young and energetic people will atleast rest for 2 times throughout their way to the top.But the climbing will prove worthy when you will have a look of the beautiful sanctuary from the top. There are more than 5 different temples and 2 lakes there. The place is really big.You will find a lot of harmless bugs and Monkeys on your way,and if you are afraid of monkeys then here is where your phobia will end.The monkeys are completely harmless and you can even feed them. You are sure to find a bunch or two of them hanging around on your way to the top.Just be careful not to step on their tail! You would be also spending hundreds of rupees on the mineral water bottles if you are not adapted to changes in eating habits.

The spots are closed down after 5 p.m. as it is believed that the tigers usually come for a walk after this time.Neither you,nor the tiger would like to get disturbed so you should better leave then.
This is a place where you could really experience the beautiful nature out of your city life.At your entrance from the gate, you would spot a lot of waterfall kind of water bodies which are really beautiful. It is recommended that you hire a jeep or something to travel rather than driving yourself since the narrow and busy road demands really professional drivers, and after all this will give you the freedom to enjoy the scenery.
The main point still remains that you will really enjoy the experience. If you really like to travel a lot, then here's something you can do...
Easy and must to do's
-Enjoy the beautiful scene of the way from the main entrance to Ranthambore Fort.

-Walk through a group of monkeys (they are harmless and friendly)

-Though Photography is prohibited, grab a few pics of the beautiful scene.Don't worry nobody cares if you take some shots.

-View and observe the classic and ancient architecture of the Ranthambore Fort.

Hard and rare to do's

-Spot a snake aside the path you are walking.I spotted one moving through the greenery that is just aside the pathway during 4-5 p.m.

-Visit the "Gupt Ganga".There's a way to the Gupt Ganga at the top of the fort visited by very few peoples. It is a cave where water flows through during rainy season.

-Explore the full upper area of Ranthambore fore. The paths may look a little maze like but if you have a good stamina and sufficient curiosity, then you would like to visit all the different temples, architectural artworks and places like the "Badal Mahal" and many more, all located at the top.
Enjoy your visit...
